The former Yugoslavia countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Croatia; Montenegro; and Slovenia are very different places pulled together through a shared history and common languages. From seaside towns to large cities still scarred by the 1990s wars to the 1984 Winter Olympics venues in Sarajevo, the countries are full of history, beauty and sadness and some of the friendliest people.
